Community Baptist Church is a family of believers who love God and love serving our neighbors.
Who We Are
We are an independent assembly of believers who face struggles together and live life in the light of the Gospel. We love and help each other as we grow closer to Jesus.
What We Do
We learn practical truths in Sunday School, worship God together in song and preaching, then study the Word of God and grow as we live out our faith.
When We Gather
We have Sunday School at 10AM,
followed by Morning Worship at 11AM,
and then Evening Worship at 6PM.
We have Wednesday Bible Study at 7PM.
Why We Worship
We were once separated from God because of our sin. Jesus forgave us of our sin and reconciled us back to God. We worship Jesus Christ for His grace toward us.
How We Come
Some like to dress up, some come straight from work. No matter how you dress for church, come ready to worship with the people of God.
Ministries & Outreach
We believe in the power of personal connections. We have geared our Sunday School hour toward making personal connections with others in the church as we learn and grow together, learning to love and pray for one another in a personal way.
Highlights from Last Year
At the end of each year, we compile video and photographic memories of what we have done throughout the year. God has brought many amazing people together for great times of worship and outreach as we serve God together.
Dr. Mark Agan
I am a husband, father, grandfather, and pastor. Most importantly, I am a child of the King of kings. Born the youngest son of Champ & Dianne Agan, my dad pastored most of my life. The Lord called me to preach when I was fourteen years old, and ever since then, I have counted it a privilege to stand and preach God’s Word.
I married the love of my life, Beth, in the winter of 1989. Not only has she been a great wife to me, a great mother to our two sons, and a wonderful grandmother, but she has also been my right arm in the ministry through the years. I have written several books to help the church body, on topics from prayer and stress to family issues and suicide.
Born and raised in North Carolina, I have lived here my entire life. After trusting Jesus Christ at an early age, I surrendered to preach at nine years old and have been involved in some form of ministry ever since. In 2014, I began serving as the youth pastor at Community Baptist Church.
I have been blessed to be married to my wife, Amy, for 17 years. We have three children, all of whom blessed us through adoption. I pray that any part of my ministry whether preaching, books, or music will lift up the name of Christ first, and then encourage the hearts and lives of others.
